Team building drumming session encore - "We
want more!"
The team at Rayban, Johannesburg - enjoyed the
drumming session so much, they gave us an encore calling
for more. Of course we had to oblige by facilitating
another rhythm everyone could play along to.
Client feedback -
Rayban:
"Thank you so much to you and the team for an excellent
drumming session on Friday at our team building event.
The response from our staff has been overwhelmingly
positive. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the drumming
session and it was very well conducted.
Job well done !!!"
What is Drum team building? What is interactive drumming?
Johan Botha is the director of The Drumming Guys, a
corporate entertainment, team building and events company
based in South Africa, and operating internationally.
The Drumming Guys specialise in interactive drumming
events, drumming team building, drum productions, drum
theatre experiences, drumming for team building. Custom
made team building programs involving drums, rhythm,
dance, clapping, singing, movement.
We facilitate high energy, engaging teambuildcouragins
that develop teamwork, as well as creating a space where
social interactions are allowed to occur naturally within
a novel experience - that both challenges participants
individually and as a team. When individuals within
the team play for each other rather than themselves,
then the group achieves what is known as gestalt. A
Group consciousness - this is the essence of drum team
building programs.
What makes The Drumming Guys unique is our ability to
transform the team - within minutes - into a cohesive
unit, which is able to hold a rhythm and sustain it,
and then with good drummers and facilitatobrs, the group
begins to make music together. This is the next step,
which separates other team building companies - our
aim is always to the audience (the participants) to
become the show itself. We facilitate in such a way
that we bring the audience on board, blurring the lines
between stage and seating; performers and audience;
facilitators and students.
The point of interactive drumming, or drum team building,
is to allow the audience to take over the show, so to
speak. Our drum facilitators role is to empower the
audience, and to allow the audience to experience what
it feels like to make music, as individuals and as a
group. If the drumming session is a success, it is because
the audience has become the show - the performers are
also the audience. There is no separation.
When does interactive drumming not work? in the scenario
where the performers are simply dictating to the audience
a set program.
